Grant issued to LSPR to install new amenity Spring 2023.

Four-legged friends and their "paw"rents will soon be able to leave the water bowls at home! A permanent source of pup hydration is on its' way to Hartman Park!
In April, the Legacy for LS Parks Foundation awarded LSPR a grant to install a permanent dog water fountain addition to the current water fountain located near the Rock Island Trailhead.

Pleasant Lea Park Renovations Complete!
Rededication held February 11, 2023

The Legacy for LS Parks Foundation was proud to participate in the rededication and ribbon cutting ceremony at Pleasant Lea Park on Saturday February 11, 2023. The park, located at 1108 SW Walnut Street was completely renovated through the efforts of talented LSPR staff, and included the installation of new playground equipment, a new multi-sport court, enhancements to the trail system and nature play components.
The Legacy for LS Parks Foundation awarded LSPR a grant in the amount of $20,000 which not only provided funding for the new shelter at the park, but also assisted LSPR in being eligible to receive a $250,000 grant from the Land Water Conservation Fund for the project.
